Policy Research Assistant

Shay Digenan performs policy research, primarily at the state level, as an intern for Pistil + Stigma. While new to the area of government relations and the cannabis industry, she has previously worked as a legal office assistant at Copenhaver and McConnell Law, P.C. in Elko, Nevada and has a fervent interest in connecting people with the policies that affect them. With a passion for social entrepreneurship and the importance of words, she has served as an Ambassador for the Ozmen Center of Entrepreneurship and UNR and works as a Writing Consultant at the University Writing Center. She also serves as a Nevada Student Ambassador, helping to recruit prospective students to the institution in Northern Nevada, Las Vegas, and Northern California. She is currently a junior at the University of Nevada, Reno seeking bachelor’s degrees in both Political Science and Communications Studies, as well as a minor in Spanish. Her interest in public policy, legal studies, and social justice compels her to work towards applying for law school following her undergraduate career.
